FESTIVAL FEEL AWAITS BACK-TO-BACK DUBAI CHALLENGE EVENTS
Volleyball World and the Dubai Sports Council join forces to put on two successive Challenge events on Kite Beach with a focus on fitness
Beach volleyball players and fans will experience a thrilling fortnight on and off the sand when two Beach Pro Tour Dubai Challenge events take place back-to-back next month.
For the first time on the Beach Pro Tour calendar, the successive tournaments will grace the golden sands of Kite Beach between 22-25 and 27-30 October.
Run by Volleyball World in partnership with the Dubai Sports Council and in cooperation with the United Arab Emirates Volleyball Federation, 24 of the world’s highly-rated teams per gender will go head-to-head in battle for the two titles.
The Beach Pro Tour Dubai Challenge events will also see competing athletes invited to give their professional advice on how the sport can foster an active and healthy lifestyle. Fans and media are also encouraged to learn just how beneficial participating in the sport can be for the body and mind.
A festival feel at the event, which will run during the annual Dubai Fitness Challenge, will await beach fans and athletes, with a number of on-site activations announced in due course.
Volleyball World CEO Finn Taylor said: “We are thrilled to be partnering with the Dubai Sports Council to bring two really exciting Challenge events to Kite Beach that will be unlike any other of our stops on the Beach Pro Tour this season.
“These two weeks will be the perfect opportunity for our athletes to demonstrate their ability and dexterity on the beach; how they deal with the challenges and how they keep in shape in order to stay at the top of their game.”
The line-ups for both events will be announced on 26 September on volleyballworld.com For more information on the Beach Pro Tour visit beachprotour.com. Follow Beach Volleyball World on social media for official content.
