MIES (Switzerland) - FIBA will continue its outstanding collaboration with Official Technical Supplier Junckers for another four years, with the Danish company providing first class hardwood sports flooring for FIBA's flagship international competitions, running through to the Olympic Games in Los Angeles in 2028.
Since 2021, Junckers and FIBA have collaborated on some of basketball's most prestigious events, with the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 and the Paris 2024 Olympic Games as the most recent highlights.
The extension for the upcoming FIBA events cycle will further solidify Junckers' reputation as a trusted partner, highlighting the strength and value of this relationship.
Junckers will provide top-of-the-line hardwood sports flooring for the FIBA EuroBasket 2025 in Cyprus, Finland, Latvia and Poland; FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup 2026 in Germany; FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027 in Qatar and for the Olympic Basketball Tournaments in Los Angeles 2028.
With FIBA dedicated to providing players with state-of-the-art playing surfaces and also premium spaces for Global Partners and Suppliers to promote their brand, Junckers has an excellent track record of delivering on both.
This includes the leading players on the planet getting to showcase their talent on stunning Junckers high-quality sports flooring at the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 which was widely recognized as being the biggest FIBA event ever.
Their amazing floors at the Pierre Mauroy Stadium in Lille and Bercy Arena in Paris also caught the eye in a big way earlier this year at the 2024 Olympic Games and contributed to one of the most attended men's and women's tournaments in history.
As a FIBA Official Technical Supplier, Junckers also collaborates with the FIBA Equipment & Venue Centre, which guarantees the highest level of quality, testing and innovation related to basketball equipment and technology.
Thomas Bendixen, CEO of Junckers, shared his enthusiasm for the extended partnership and said: "We are immensely proud to extend our collaboration with FIBA. This agreement not only validates the exceptional quality of Junckers' hardwood sports flooring but also highlights our reputation as a trusted and dependable partner.
"It reflects the strong working relationship we have built with FIBA and our commitment to delivering excellence in every aspect - from production and planning to execution and quality control.
"This partnership perfectly aligns with our strategy to be a leader in the global hardwood sports flooring industry. We are thrilled to contribute to iconic events like the FIBA EuroBasket, the FIBA Basketball World Cups for men and women, and, once again, be part of the Summer Olympics - this time in Los Angeles in 2028."
Meanwhile, Frank Leenders, FIBA Media and Marketing Services Director General, added: "The fact this collaboration will go beyond a decade demonstrates how highly we value Junckers as one of FIBA's Global Suppliers.
"We are delighted with their delivery at leading FIBA events during these past years, and we're excited for this next period as we continue to grow the global game together.
"Junckers' high-quality sports flooring systems have been instrumental in numerous FIBA events and have set a new standard for excellence.
"Their floors not only give players from around the world the best possible surface to play on, but they also look spectacular and have provided other FIBA Global Partners with a great space to showcase their brands."
